Science Experiments in 2nd class

On the second week back 2nd class did a quick science experiment. We wanted to see if washing our hands really made a difference. We got 5 slices of fresh bread. After lunch one person did not wash their hands and pressed one hand on a slice of bread which was then bagged. (The child then washed their hands!)

The second child just used hand sanitiser and pressed their hand on the bread. 

The third child just washed their hands with water and pressed their hand into the bread. 

The fourth child washed their hands properly for 20 seconds using soap and water, dried their hands properly and pressed their hand into the bread. 

There was a 5th slice and this was the control. 

Then we waited and the photos speak for themselves we think. So keep washing those hands - it really does keep you safe!!
