Would you like to know more about installing solar panels, retrofitting your house or changing over to an electric vehicle? Come to Newport SEC free information event this Saturday 27th May from 11 to 1pm in Hotel Newport.

• Dr Orla Nic Suibhne an SEAI mentor will give us information on grants available.

• Fergus Mc Manamon of Comfort Solutions will let us know how to go about retrofitting our houses from insulation to heat pumps.

• Richard Mannion of Louisburgh SEC will tell the story of how they came together to install solar panels on several houses in the area.

• Declan Holmes of Newport SEC will explore the saving that people will make by installing solar panels by using real world data. He will answer the questions you have such as how long is payback? and should I buy a battery or sell the electricity?

• There will be a Renault Mégane EV and a Volkswagen ID4 for test drive on the day.
