Kitepower trip for 6th

Ms Finnerty organised for Sixth Class pupils to visit a site on Monday in Bangor Erris which is developing the generation of electricity by flying kites!

Kitepower, a company from the Netherlands, in partnership with Mayo County Council, is a pioneer in airborne Wind Energy (AWE), therefore bringing renewable energy to Ireland by harnessing electricity from high altitude winds by flying kites.

Look out for the kites when you're next in that area!
