Grainne Uaile Festival
The town's annual Grainne Uaile Festival takes place next weekend, with lots of events for families to enjoy, starting with a PIRATE PARADE on Friday evening, where everyone is encouraged to dress in pirate costume and meet on Meddlicott Street at 7pm
Other family friendly events include:
Art competition. The theme is "Newport and Me" and entries should be dropped to Ashling's shop by Thursday 1 August
Family Treasure Hunt on Saturday (meet at playground 2:30pm)
Family Fun Day on Meddlicott Street on Sunday from 1pm
