First term activities...
PE TIMETABLE
I am attaching the PE Timetable for this year (starting next week). Children should wear their PE gear any day there is PE or swimming or football. We will text each individual class to clarify those days to avoid confusion!
SWIMMING LESSONS
Swimming lessons for 1st to 6th class will start on Wed 16 September - timetable attached (Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays till mid-term). We are once again using Mulranny Park Hotel Leisure Centre. While we have kept the price unchanged for quite a few years now, we have no option but to increase the price this year, as both the lessons themselves AND the transport costs have increased significantly. We are still offering a family discount for siblings, and hope you agree that, for 6 weeks of top class lessons, it still represents great value for money. [€50 for first child, €40 for second child, €30 for third child, €20 for any additional siblings] (FYI - for the younger pupils NOT attending swimming lessons, football with Paddy will take place in the astro every Wednesday morning, starting Wed 16 September)
MMR and 4-in-1 VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations for Junior infants will take place on Thursday 26 September. We will send consent forms home when we receive them from the HSE
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Mondays - Mixies Brixies will be starting a Lego Club every Monday from 3pm-4:30pm, starting Monday 16 September. I will have registration details shortly, but if you have any questions in the meantime, you can WhatsApp Caroline Drake on 087 4912329
Tuesdays - Set Dancing (all ages) will start up again next week (Tuesday 10 September). Trad Music classes (2nd Class upwards) will also start up on 10 September.
Wednesdays - no after school activities this term. After School Football for 4th, 5th and 6th will start in Term 2
Thursdays - no after school activities
Fridays - Rinka will start after school fitness classes for all age groups from Friday 13 September (4:30-5:30pm for 3-5 yr olds, 5:45 - 6:45pm for 6-10 yr olds) - IF THEY GET SUFFICIENT NUMBERS. At the moment, they do not have sufficient numbers in the 6-10 year age group, so make sure to register if you want those classes to go ahead! Register on https://rinka-achill.class4kids.ie/
