Ballycroy National Park Head Guide Marina Mulligan and National Parks Ranger Leonard Floyd visited the school last week and brought some ash and birch trees for the 6th class to plant along the front of the school grounds. They also did a Bug Hunt with them, which the children enjoyed!

Afterwards, Marina and Leonard helped our Senior Explorers plant trees over at Newport Playground, on the viaduct embankment, to replace some trees that had been cut to make way for the extended playground.

Much to their surprise and delight, the Explorers also got to see a dolphin skull, whale vertebra and stuffed otter and pine marten. David Attenborough had better watch his back!

Princess Grace Park Visit

First class enjoyed a Spring Walk to Princess Grace Park last Friday. We are fortunate to have this lovely area to explore and enjoy.
