5th Class visit Ballycroy NP
Ballycroy National Park is one of six national parks in Ireland. It is a vast area of Atlantic blanket bog and mountainous terrain. It is also home to many rare and protected species. 5th class spent a wonderful day in Ballycroy exploring the area. Our guide Marina was very informative and everyone learned something new. Then we collected bugs in pooter jars, tried some pond fishing and investigated the science of solar energy. Discover Primary Science were there to film our day and even interviewed some of the budding scientists. Their video should be uploaded in September so we look forward to seeing some familiar faces then.
